From 23rd to 27th June 2015, the “Maria Tsakos” Foundation is hosting the opening ceremony and the works of the European Conference “ECONSHIP 2015″ organized by the University of the Aegean (Dept. of  Shipping, Trade and Transport).

Από τις 23 έως και τις 27 Ιουνίου 2015, το Ίδρυμα “Μαρία Τσάκος” φιλοξενεί στις εγκαταστάσεις του την εναρκτήρια εκδήλωση και τις εργασίες του Ευρωπαϊκού Συνεδρίου  “ECONSHIP 2015″, τις οποίες διοργανώνει το Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου (Τμήμα Ναυτιλίας και Επιχειρηματικών Υπηρεσιών).

At the historical building of Syngros School in Poros, doctors and students of the Postgraduate Programme “International Medical Management of Health Crisis”, headed by Prof. Rozenberg, attended a two-day conference on Naval Travel Medicine.

Eminent speakers from the field of Hyperbaric Medicine, in the presence of the Mayor of Poros, Mr. Ioannis Dimitriadis, presented the outcomes of their research, highlighting a highly interesting topic around the “Diver’s Disease”, analyzing forms of prevention and treatment.

The Diving Medicine, primarily designs, monitors and treats nosology, associated with Scuba Diving.

The conference ended with a Roundtable discussion entitled “Medical Urgency Aboard”, coordinated by Professor of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Anastasios Tripolitis. Effective ways of healing wounds aboard were discussed.

Within the framework of its ideals and vision for proper training on maritime tradition and education, the “Maria Tsakos” Foundation has been a great contributor to this remarkable project and hopes for similar initiatives in the future.

Με την ευγενική χορηγία του Ιδρύματος “Μαρία Τσάκος – Διεθνές Κέντρο Ναυτικής Έρευνας και Παράδοσης”, πραγματοποιήθηκε στο νησί του Πόρου, στις 22-23 Μαΐου 2015, σεμινάριο με θέμα: “Ιατρική στη θάλασσα και Ιατρική των Καταδύσεων”.

Στο ιστορικό κτίριο του Σχολείου Συγγρού στον Πόρο, ιατροί και φοιτητές του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος “Διεθνής Ιατρική Διαχείριση Κρίσεων Υγείας”, με τον επικεφαλή τους, τον Καθηγητή κ. Ροζεμπεργκ, παρακολούθησαν Διημερίδα Ναυτικής Ταξιδιωτικής Ιατρικής.

Αξιόλογοι ομιλητές, από το χώρο της Υπερβαρικής Ιατρικής, παρουσία του Δήμαρχου Πόρου κ. Ιωάννη Δημητριάδη, παρουσίασαν τα αποτελέσματα των ερευνών τους, φωτίζοντας ένα άκρως ενδιαφέρον θέμα γύρω από τη “Νόσο του Δύτη”, αναλύοντας μορφές πρόληψης αλλά και θεραπείας.

Η Καταδυτική Ιατρική, κατά κύριο λόγο, μελετά, παρακολουθεί και θεραπεύει τη νοσολογία, που σχετίζεται με την Αυτόνομη Κατάδυση.

Το συνέδριο ολοκληρώθηκε με τη διενενέργεια Στρογγυλής Τράπεζας, με κύριο θέμα: “Το Ιατρικό Επείγον εν ΠΛΩ” και με συντονιστή τον Καθηγητή Αγγειοχειρουργικής κ. Αναστάσιο Τριπολίτη, όπου συζητήθηκαν αποτελεσματικοί τρόποι αντιμετώπισης τραυμάτων εν ΠΛΩ.

Το Ίδρυμα “Μαρία Τσάκος” στα πλαίσια των ιδανικών και οραμάτων του, για τη σωστή και άρτια παιδεία, γύρω από θέματα ναυτικής παράδοσης και εκπαίδευσης, στάθηκε αρωγός στο αξιόλογο αυτό εγχείρημα και χαιρετίζει θετικά, ανάλογες πρωτοβουλίες και στο μέλλον.
