Every year, the “Maria Tsakos” Foundation hosts the proceedings of the Homeric Academy “Euroclassica”. The Euroclassica Conference illuminates Chios as the birthplace of Homer and has been taking place in Chios for seventeen consecutive years.

Every year, Euroclassica Conference organized under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic and more than 3500 delegates have participated until now.

The aim of the Euroclassica Conference is the interdisciplinary approach of the Homeric epics and the emergence of classical studies, the meeting of Hellenists and students from all over the world and the improvement of teaching methods regarding ancient greek literature.
