On September 2, 2011, the “Maria Tsakos” Foundation hosted the book launch “The Mavrokordatos family in the Russian Empire”, written by Doctor of History, Valery Tomazov. This publication was an initiative of the Hellenic-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and among the sponsors were Mr. Ioannis Polychronopoulos, the President of the Chamber, Captain Panagiotis N. Tsakos and others.

The book pays tribute to prominent Chios entrepreneurs who achieved great accomplishments through their hard work and ingenuity.
